I was born in 1970 in London. I worked as a graphic designer and commercial artist in the advertising industry for over 20 years. I was then involved with a number of start-up ventures including software development, online marketing and property refurbishment. I have had an interest in roadcraft since the 1990s when I had some training in advanced driving. Over a nine-year period from 2016 I very much enjoyed teaching my children to drive. They all passed the test in Tunbridge Wells. In 2025 I decided to pursue a career as a driving instructor when my household ran out of learners. I live near Uckfield with my wife and variable numbers of grown-up offspring. I enjoy walking and running on the south downs. I like to focus on basic driving skills in a car with manual gearbox, traditional handbrake and minimal tech.
